Then, explore the Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, originally the Royalty’s pleasure gardens. The garden is home to nearly 4000 plant species and encircled by the Mahaweli River.

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya, visiting a tea plantation and factory along the way. Known as Sri Lanka’s tea capital, Nuwara Eliya produces 50% of the world’s best tea. It also hosts Sri Lanka’s highest mountain, Pidurutalagala (8282 ft). Enjoy an evening at leisure.
